The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours dark copper with a white head. Aroma is pumpkin spice, some kind of sour ale like smell, and nice malty smell. Taste is slightly sour. Kind of malty. Pumpkin spice is quite prevalent. Pretty good. Interesting.

Because of \"rum barrel\" this was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a nice looking dark hazy brown color with a slim little cap of a head that dissipated eloquently.
The smell started off with some fresh pumpkin blending into a subtle sweet woody/vanilla blend.
The taste was moderately sweet carrying the subtle pumpkin spice to follow up. Vanilla woodiness comes back to balance. Dry woody vanilla stickiness in the aftertaste leading into a dry sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation runs fairly smooth allowing vanilla to \"crisp\" things up to create a subtle \"pie-like\" structure sticking to my tongue.
Overall, this was a really nice pumpkin ale gracefully blending rum barrel into this goodness. What a wonderful Autumn sipper!

Pours a copper from a bottle. Aroma of pumpkin, vanilla, rum, sweat. Flavor somewhat pumpkiny but not a lot of spice, a good thing in my book. Rum flavors present too. Not very boozy. Tasted a little like Moxie on the first sip, somewhat bittersweet. Good beer.

Sample at the Beer Heads MeetUp bottle share event in October 2014. Pours a clear amber with an off white head. Pumpkin nose. Caramel and mild pie spice flavors. Smooth finish.

Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Dark copper color with a medium thin beige head that recedes quickly. Short strings of lacing. Caramel, nutmeg and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of pumpkin spices and malt. The finish is sweet with a pumpkin spice and vanilla aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at The Ginger Man, Greenwich, CT. A dark amber/orange coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Pumpkin, spice aroma. Tastes of pumpkin, spice, a hint of rum, slightly sweet. Enjoyable pumpkin beer from this likeable CT brewery.

Drought. Reddish dark amber with creamy beige head, pumpkin aroma, sweet pumpkin taste, low carbonation, long finish with pumpkins in your head! Too pumpkin-y if there is such a word.

Bottle shared at BFD Friday night. Light spice a little sweet, decent pumpkin ale.

Bottle. Pours amber off white head. Nose/taste of spice, nutmeg, pumpkin, pie crust, vanilla and oak. Not much rum. Lighter medium body.

Aroma: The nose is full of cinnamon and autumn spice, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, and a little oak
Appearance: It pours a darker orange color, almost mahogany, with a beige head on top
Flavor: Tastes much like the nose, it leans sweet, but with plenty of spice to keep some balance
Palate: The body is medium, it has a smooth, clean feel, leading to a nice, long finish
Overall Impression: It's starting to get cool enough outside for pumpkin beer (too bad they've been out for 6 weeks already). Sure is nice to drink the seasonals during the correct season (hint, hint). Anyway, I found this to be a rather enjoyable example of the style, it leans sweet, but not in such a way as to detract from the drinker's enjoyment.
