A chuckleberry is a cross between redcurrant, gooseberry and jostaberry, and is full of the flavours of all three. It makes a unique fruit beer - vibrant pink, effervescent, low alcohol, refreshing. The sweet juice balances the lemon citric-tartness of the base beer, a kettle-soured Berliner Weisse, aged post-fermentation, on whole fresh chuckleberries.

Nice creamy longlasting head, very nice reddish color. Aroma is mild fruity, red currants, berry skin, minerals, sour grass, black currants, weeds. Taste is sour-ish dry, red currants, minerals, berry skin, hay, sour grass, black currants, weeds. Medium bitterness, sour-ish dry mouthfeel. Nice.

Keg at CBC Clerko, 07/07/16. Crimson rouge with a well appointed light pink cap. Nose is pink berry fizz, straw, light cherry drop, disty funk sticks. Taste comprises strawberry jam pippage, tangy pink berry, hay bale, light funk. Medium bodied, fine to spritzy feel, semi dying close with the most gentle of puckerings. Ok simple sour to refresh on a hote day.

Keg at Brewdog Birmingham; hazy bright red pour with a thin white head, aroma has light raspberry with a slight hint of funk, taste has biscuit, raspberry, hint of cherry.
