CBC. Black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, cake and blueberries. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, cake, vanilla, medium sweet, liquorice, hop and bitter.

CBC. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 130516

Keg @ BBB. Pours viscous black with a small bluish mocha head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and fruity with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toffee, bilberry pie, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, moist soil, charcoal and alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and fruity. Mouthfeel is viscous, round, tiny fruity tart, slightly roasted astringent, slightly boozy and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, bilberry pie, dark roast coffee, burnt wood and alcohol. Bit too sweet, cloying and boozy hot. Pours black with a smallish head. Strong blueberry aroma with notes of chocolate bars and some licorice. Taste is bluberries, chocolate and some licorice leading to a harsh alcohol finish. Tastes a bit artificial.

(330ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours pitch black with a deep orangish-brown head that leaves a lasting ring and lace. Aroma is definitely different, with sweet/tart blueberry, rich creamy lactose, chocolate drink powder, vanilla extract, liqueur, slight tar, undefinable cheesecake character. Flavour is surprisingly blueberry-dominated and tart, with some jammy quality to the fruit, vanilla extract, dark malts give burnt sugar and bitter dark chocolate, creamy lactose sweetness builds up in the middle of the sip along with blueberry liqueur. There is some tarry bitterness that dries down the otherwise sugary and tart finish, along with apparent alcohol heat. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Rather different, sweet and dessert like but with a balancing tartness from the berries. Interesting, perhaps not so highly drinkable due to the liqueur-like character.
