(On tap @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, July 8/17 + sampled @ MBCC 2017) Pours a hazy pale orange with a white head. Nose is loaded with tangerines, grapefruit peels, underripe mango, pineapple, slightly leafy, but mostly juicy and semisweet. Flavour doesn’t replicate the juiciness to the same degree, showcasing more of the citrus peel notes, unripe pineapple, leafy and a bit pellet-like, dry, with a light to medium bitter finish that lacks the bright fruity quality of the nose. Medium bodied with below average carb. This is a definite improvement on the normal Hop Showers, with a much richer hop quality, but in both cases I found the flavour a bit underwhelming. I definitely prefer OH’s DIPAs.

Can to becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-hazy golden to copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that left some light concave lace after dissipation.
The aroma had some peach/apricot sweetness, light pineapple, sweet cream/vanilla, light sweet grassy notes and a light little bit of lemon at the end.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness at first and then cued up a little bit of bitterness and a light kick of hop spice. Dry apricot sweet and jam-like aftertaste and finish.
The palate was almost medium bodied, leaning a bit under and having a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good IPA that I’d have again.
