Tasting at SF; 8.4% ABV
Murky brown color, creamy head. The spices create a smell of soap, there is also bread. Good body, too strong alcohol perception, sweetish, without malt depth, and soapy spices (anise? ginger…). They mention a Belgian influence, this is absolutely not Belgian, fake, close to undrinkable.

Bottle - Spicy and herbal with a rich malt backbone. Dirty cloudy brown with a decent beige head. Earthy caramel with some herb and a touch of spice. Almost pumpkin like.

Muddy, light brown. Thin head. Muddled spices on the aroma - nutmeg, cinnamon...and it’s quite yeasty. Spicy, quite yeasty, the malts aren’t particularly defined here, and the beer really needed that. Ends up being sweet and spicy, but without the style and subtlety I would have liked.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma is very spicy, with lots of ginger and nutmeg upfront, followed by cinnamon and allspice. Flavour is earthy and spicy, with ginger, allspice and nutmeg upfront, followed by toasted caramel bready malt, and finishing with light cinnamon. Too jumbled and uncoordinated, but it's inoffensive.

Draught at the brewery, 12/30/15.
Deep maroon-magenta with some lighter amber and auburn hues. Good clarity and a beige head that slowly recedes to cover.
Fruity and spicy in the nose with lots of sweet cinnamon, light ginger and lots of caramel. Not terribly Belgian, but there’s a bit of earthiness and some dryness to it.
Sweet, but not too much so, in the flavor, with not a ton of apple (probably wouldn’t even know it’s there) but mostly allspice and light cinnamon. Doesn’t come across as a spice bomb, thankfully, with a soft, malty texture as all of their beers have, well-attenuated and with no sign of the alcohol. Vanilla, caramel and raisins balance the spices nicely.

Keg at Kings Arms. It pours cloudy mahogany brown with a decent off-white head. The nose is sweet apple pie, toffee, tart tatin, festive spice, stewed orange, scrumpy, wood and leather. The taste is bitter, very woody, old leather cough, stewed apple, pear skin, a good deal of festive spice, apple pie, quite dry, vanilla and some warming alcohol with a pretty dry finish. Fulsome body and fine carbonation. Christmas has come early! Flavoursome and punchy. Nice one.

Draft at Buxton. Cloudy, almost murky maroon, cream colored head. Aroma of lightly spiced berry, cherry, cranberry. Taste has cranberry, vanilla, just a touch of spice. Subtle and understated.

Poured up at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear amber body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up lots of integrated spice notes mixing with a pretty big apple component. Pleasing and inviting Winter holiday aroma. The taste has smooth spices like cinnamon and ginger that seem to be coming from all over the place. It then pulls up a Belgian candi sugar note that has a touch of candied apple to it. Nice drinking Holiday beer that stays balanced.
