Old rating - This is a bright chestnut brown best bitter which I've enjoyed this one a few times.. Restrained malt tones are nicely balanced with a subtle but complex hop aroma. The finish is clean and dry with a moreish bitterness.

Nearly clear amber....a re-bottle, so very little head. Bread, caramel aroma. Slightly flat, bready malt and caramel taste..... Sample had some age on it, but really not too bad.

Birthday present from my sister-in-law. Fruity malt aroma. Medium chestnut. Thick beige head. Initial malty caramel sweetness. Develops a hoppy bitterness into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick. A prickle of carbonation. Middling finish. A decent ESB. Enjoyable.
