Got this old ass bottle from Stefan: pours a lightly murked orange. Fruity and lightly funky aroma holds up pretty well. Sweetish, somewhat sour. Not acidic. Probably some of the hops are out and made more ambiguous. Strangely OK.

12.7 fl oz waxed bottle. Pours a cloudy pinkish amber color with a small off-white head that soon fizzes away. The aroma is big and bold with fresh cherries and some funky brett--you can smell this from across the room. The taste is tart cherries, tangerines and some sour grapes. The palate is light and crisp and the carbonation is lively. Finishes long and tart with lingering sour fruits. Overall: Decent sour--better than I remember it from past tastings. Paired well with some aged Manchego cheese.

Waxed 12 oz bottle. Aroma is pungent sour cultures and brett, lemon, some herbal hoppage, light oak. Pours murky burnt orange with sediment on the bottom, and a one finger beige head that falls into a ring somewhat quickly. Taste is highly sour (10/10) and a bit savory, finishing with a light dryness. Not really getting any bitterness for a label boasting of 100 IBUs. Flavors of lacto, brett, lemon, oak; coriander is just a bit noticeable as a lingering flavor on the back end. Intense and good, especially for something with such a low ABV.

Bottle from Broken Top Bottle Shop. Murky amber, orange, head subsides to small ring. Tons of sediment. Tart aroma, stone fruit. Yes, this said IPA on the label. Taste, while still fruity, also has some of the malt and hop character of an IPA. Oh, there it is. Still pretty damn sour though. Sweet and tart finish.

Hazy golden color. The aroma is wonderful, it marries the character of the brett with a strong fruity, zesty component; it’s citrusy, and a bit trropical, pungent. The mouthfeel is very dry, but quite smooth thanks to the high carbonation; the flavor is zesty, citrusy, funky, and rather astringent in the final; plenty of grapefruit, qumquats, and hints of passion fruit.

12.7 Oz bottle. Porus a hazy amber with huge head. Aromas of breadfruit, mashed pineapple, limes, and toasted malts. A fruit bomb with flavors of sour tropical fruit, green berries, pommegranate and mangos, limes, and a little sweet malts,. If hops are present it’s the Ammarillo. Incredible. Though not an IPA by any means...
