Our Afternoon Ale does not disappoint on flavor or crispness. With a uniquely bready nose, this smooth easy drinking beer contains qualities of a blonde and a kölsch while being a unique creation.
Sometimes beers are more than styles and titles, they are a state of mind.
The Afternoon Ale style was created from a pilsner recipe and fermented with ale yeast to create something unique, yet incredibly drinkable.

12 oz. can purchased in Frisco, Colorado. Pours a clear gold color with a white head and good retention. Minimal lacing. Generic aroma, maybe a hint of hops. Pretty standard golden lager flavor profile with a light hop finish. Pretty mellow overall. Crisp and clean and smooth. Medium body.

12oz bottle. Walking the line between Golden Ale and Session IPA. Yellow-tan body, some haze. Thin, frothy head. Not a lot going on. Thin, watery golden malt. Hops and carbonation give it a seltzer bite. Not bad, I can see drinking a lot of this..if it were free. Otherwise maybe not.

Can. A- Sweet corn, malty, slightly sweet. A- Yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Sweet corn, grains, malty. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- This was all over the board average. For some reason, the person in me who loves simplicity and the color yellow saw the can and though this is going to be a good beer. Turns out as usual the can doesn’t make the beer taste good. Average all around.

12 oz can purchased at Metcalf Discount Liquor on 135th Street in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a clear golden with a two inch well formed white head. The aroma is grass, cracker malt and some dry earth near the back. The taste is softly bitter grass, cracker malt, and a bit of dry hay to the finish. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and a dry finish. Clean, easy drinking beer.

12oz can picked up at Supermarket Liquors
Pours hazy orange with a medium sized off-white head, good lacing. Aroma of sawdust, bisquity, grassy and citrus. Taste is grassy, grapefruit, bready, herbal sweetness then a bitter finish, dry
A decent golden ale, sweet but the bitterness helps balance it out.

Sample at the taproom. Slightly hazy straw color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Yeast, fruit and bready malt in the nose. Light-bodied with favors of fruity yeast, toasted malt and mild hops. The finish is fruity with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Average overall.

Tap at the brewery: Pours orange/gold with a white head. Aroma is bread, yeast, and a bit of hops. Taste is also yeasty. Easy drinking and crisp, but I really have little to say about this beer, except for the yeastiness. Not bad.
