Bottle at home, light hazy yellow beer, small head, aroma is lemon, lemonade. Tast is lemon soda with a hint of wheat ale. More a lemonade than beer, but isnt that the case with most radlers?

Can from shop in Leuven. Hazy yellow colour, minimal head. Sweet aroma of citrus and lemonade. Light malty notes. Some off flavours. Not very well balanced. Very sweet and sugary.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste are like lemonade with a lot of lemon and lime. Ok the aroma has more of the lemon lime thing, the flavor is actually decent. For a lemonade of course. Not a beer.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy, pale mojito colour with a small white head. Smells lemon and lime (hihihahahoho) . Tastes lime, slightly sour, fruity, 7up/sprite, Solero Shots icecream. Thin body, slightly fizzy carbo. I always enjoy stuff like this.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Coop, Culemborg Hazy milky yellow with a thin white head. Lemon and wheat aroma. Taste is not as sweet as some other radlers. Finish is short. Not bad but far from good.

The other new Hoegaarden Radler, fitting in AB InBev’s ’innovation’ project - with which, to me at least, they confirm how much they are trying to keep consumers away from craft beers (or ’good’ beer in general, for that matter)... Yellowish white, creamy, moussy, fairly stable head, misty pale yellow colour with greenish hue. Aroma of Fanta Lemon, lemon ice cream, lemonade... Perhaps a suggestion of lime as well, but in this form it is almost impossible to distinguish the lemon extracts from the lime extracts; I get something chalky and something floral too. A very vague graininess is only detectable at higher temperature. Tastes like lemonade in the classical sense of the word: ascorbic acid, though less emphatically than I had feared, clear ’industrial’ sugary sweetness but less cloying than I had feared and an artificial lemon taste without the acidity; in the finish, I do get a very weak sense of grains and even a very faint, ’deaf’ and brief bitterishness, but the sugariness and the lemonade taste dominate the whole. Thin but soft and ’fluffy’ mouthfeel. I was less appalled by this one than by its Agrum brother, if I’m honest, but obviously this is not beer in the strict sense of the word... If you look at it as a soda pop, this is not even the worst in its genre.

330 ml. bottle @ home. Procured @ Albert Heijn. BBF 14/08/2015. Recently AB-InBev announced that they were going for innovation in 2015. This will include amongst other things 2 Hoegaarden Radler version. Wow, such innovation AB-InBev. Pours an odd hazy milky artificial lemon with a small stable artificial white head. Nose is sweet bready lemon mints, plenty of cheap lemonade. Taste is actually pleasant tasting bready lemonade, light bubblegum wheat with cheap lemonade with lots E numbers, lots of artificial sweetener sweetness,… Artificial sweet lime. Bready lemonade body. I actually liked this. This is a pleasant lemonade with some light bubblegum wheat. Nice. The description “The Original Belgian Wheat Beer” is unfortunate but understandable in from a marketing point of view I suppose.

Bottle from huilenspiegel. Pours unclear light yellow. Ok white head. Smell is smarteficial lemon. Taste is refreshing, bitter. Somewhat dry, bit malty. Slightly harsh due to arteficial sugars. The taste itsself is ok though
