Foudreweizen is a farmhouse wheat beer fermented in an oak foudre. It was created by taking Hefeweizen wort brewed at Live Oak, moving it across town to Jester King in portable tanks, racking the wort into an oak foudre at Jester King, pitching the wort with Live Oak’s Hefeweizen yeast, then allowing it to slowly transform and mature over the course of months in the presence of native yeast and bateria alive in the walls of Jester King’s foudre.

Bottle from Mr Bond, thanks for the hookup! Hazy lemony straw color with a decent but short lived bubbly white head. Big lemon and sour notes with hints of bread and honey. Earthy barnyard adds some complexity. That is a damn fine rustic farmhouse ale right there, wish I had more!

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out tart wheat and funky fruitiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with tart wheat and some stone fruitiness. Fairly wheaty and dry. Nothing overly complex, but well-balanced and integrated. Good stuff.

Bottle pours out a yellowish orange topped with a small white head. Nose is lemon zest spice pepper barnyard and some citrus. Taste is more of the lemon zest some orange even and oak barrel notes.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium white head. A big sweet fruity lemon nose. The flavor is sharp sour oak, lemons, zesty, pepper, banana. Solid. Light.

Bottle - Light manure and wheat. Cloudy yellow with a decent white. Tart and soured wheat with a touch of aspirin in the finish. Odd.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong yeast, funk, pepper, wood. Medium mouth, juicy, light funk, clove, lemon zest, crushable, really enjoyed this one.

Enjoyed on tap at Jester King in Austin, TX. Appearance is a very cloudy gold with not much head. Aroma of sour yeast, just like pure yeast. Taste is like fart yeast, tastes like a fart, but like a good fart? Because it tastes good? I really don't understand how this tastes good, it's an anomaly.
