16 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 10/9/2015. Pours lightly hazy orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of piney/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange zest, citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus/earthy/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and fairly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

16 oz can purchased as a single at Cork and Barrel 23rd Street in Lawrence, Kansas. Drink by 11/21/15 stamped on bottom of the can. The pour is a slight haze golden with a one inch foamy white head. Foam falls with splotchy lace. The aroma is floral hop, fruit and a bit of cracker malt. The taste is clean fresh floral hop, sweet herbal, apricot fruit and some soft malt under the hop. The palate is medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and a lingering floral herbal, soft dry bitterness. Tasty.

Can/Fest. A- Citrus, floral, pine. A- Golden color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, tropical fruits, pine, floral. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Can’t say this was much different than 8-Bit. In fact, I think this was a step down.
