Honey Ginger is a spiced ale brewed with locally sourced honey and fresh, hand-peeled ginger. This medium-bodied beer pours a deep copper color, balancing mild honey sweetness and a spicy ginger bite in a refreshing summer seasonal.

Deep, super robust brown, amber and crisp shiny copper (just like a penny) glow with a nice tint, especially when held up to a light. Aroma of deep honey and super pungent spices with a lot of grain, toffee and deep caramelised sugar with perhaps some ginger noticeable. Medium-bodied; Deep robust malt and caramelised sugars with a lot of pungent and deeper toffee and spice notes that dominate the finish and also show a lot of astringency, especially at the end. Afertaste shows as malt with some caramel, a dose of grain, bananas and more pungent German or even Belgian yeast strain, with a deep finish that shows deep flavours, even on the very end. Overall, decent at best - I'm not sure which style of beer they were going for, but this tastes as a combination of a herrb/spice/veg and a Brown Ale. Not bad, but they usually produce much better beer - this is perhaps too pungent and malt-forward. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 14-June-2019 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here in Washington, a few blocks away on 01-July-2019.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours nearly clear dark amber wih small off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and honey, with notes of yeast and ginger. Bitter, gingerish and hoppy flavour with notes of malt and touches of honey and yeast. Bitter aftertaste with notes of ginger. Rather watery but acceptable.

Draft pour at Novemberfest 2014. Poured a clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma was nice ginger notes, sweet malt. Flavor was a seriously powerful ginger one - shaved ginger. Very tasty for people who enjoy ginger. Very nice. Tasty. Girlfriend loved it - definitely a "Julie beer" here.
