Bottle from Total Wine. Cloudy and amber in colour, with a thin, white, head. Aroma of multi-spices, green herbs, ripe banana and lemon. Flavour had grainy malts, more spicing a hint of lemon and lingering, rich, finish. Enjoyable.

Clear deep amber and copper coloured body with a faint, single centimetre-tall pure white head that fades very quickly. Aroma of coriander seed, bananas, wheat, yeast, bread, grain and a dash of cloves - very nice and incredibly aromatic. Medium-bodied; Deep robust wheatie and even grainy flavours at first with a definite nutty and clove taste that also shows some bananas and softer Belgian yeast, but it takes a while to get around the rather strong malts and earthy profile. Aftertaste shows some light bitterness from some subdued hops along with the alcohol and light astringency from the malts, but more of a round taste from the yeast and light fruit-based sugars that make this a bit clean on the end and still full of character. Overall, a fairly nice Belgian white that started off very well with a lot of complex components, but ends on the more obtrusive and obtuse side of things with a deeper profile that doesn't highlight the soft yeasts and light spices, but more of the hop bitterness and grainy malts that are still evident. Nice to sample as a more flavourful Belgian white. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wegman's in Fairfax, Virginia on 21-July-2018 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Washington on my Dad's 70th Birthday, on 25-March-2019 - Happy 70th Birthday Dad!!!
