Opaque brown color, medium-sized beige head. Aroma is earthy, plummy fruity. medium-bodied. Very dry, dry tartish, dark fruits. Perhaps smoke? I just don’t like this combination of "barrel-taste", tart and dry,

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Alon. Deep amber-brown with a beige head. Lovely aroma of cobwebs, wood, wine, vanilla, cherries, plums, caramel, balsamic vinegar. Sour-sweetish flavor with cherries, plums, wine, wood, a bit of caramel, vanilla, cobwebs, lacto, balsamic vinegar, and a faint smoky note. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Very good.

375mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out fruity notes, some wood and light tartness - doesn't come across as a porter. Flavour is muffled and confused, with tart fruits and earth notes. No idea what they were going for here. This is poor.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with small beige head. The aroma is strong smoke and oak. Thin mouth, nice smoke, plum skin, light tartness, very good.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: this is on the version on brett so perhaps this should be a separate rating. In any case, it pours pretty close to black with a beige head. Aroma is lactic acid and plums and brett. Taste is kind of sour... Well more than kind of. Earthy and sour finish. Good bit of complexity. Light sweetness. Nice.

A little too oaky on the finish. Some sense of plum and light smoke. Pours a little red with ok head and lacing. Tap at Crios sour event.
