Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a big pine forward hop. For being a lager that was eye opening. Flavor is no less hoppy then the aroma. Lots of hop bitterness with some honeysuckle and melon hop fruitiness. A decent dry lager malt is here to clean away things and gets you ready for the next sip. Probably the most hop forward of these IPL’s I’ve had. Pretty solid.

Draft. Deep, clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma of light grapefruit. Taste has tropical fruit, cereal, subtle toast. Nice.

Keg at Maui Brewing Co brewpub, upper Kanapali, Maui 23/04/14. Clear golden orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is orange squash, hops, pink grapefuit, straw. Taste comprises juicy hops, toasted malt, orange pith, grassy notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the close. Decent hoppy lager, may as well have added as a SIPA or APA but by definition of the name added as a premium lager.
