Geographically, “Bockbier” originated in the north of Germany in 1351. The strong beer was used in monasteries to sustain the monks while they were fasting, and it was traditionally brewed for the 40 days of Lent. Today this beer can be enjoyed all year round.

Many thanks for this beer to Grzesiek79. Pours golden color, rather small head. Light-bodied and hoppy Bock, slightly malty and spicy.

Can. Clear golden color, white coca cola head. Aroma of bready straw. Taste is sweet with few hops. Plain.

Poured from 500mL can. Clear pale yellow with white head. Malty aroma with some corn. Taste is a little bit sweet with a mildly bitter finish. Alcohol is hidden.

Can. Golden colour with an off-white head with medium duration. Aroma is malty, light alcohol and marzipam notes. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning with a strong alcohol sensation, marzipam and malty hints and a moderate bitterness in the final.
