On tap at the Bluejacket. A yellow-gold body topped by a thinly bubbled, pillowy head. The nose is gold star, featuring spritely lemon, orange zest and sweet malt. The popping elements in the nose are as fresh and juicy in the taste, with pineapple, lemon, and orange leading the way. Some sourness and a noticeable acidity put this sour blond over the top for refreshing thirst quenching appeal. The taste persists well and keeps its balances. A great beer!

Churchkey, late. Frothy, sort of clear, pale gold pour. The lighting in this place is terrible. Melon, herbal, sweet onion, grassy, gentle nose. Mild sourness. Oniony sweet, a little herbal, slight lemon & white grape on the finish. Okay to good.

On tap at Bluejacket. This ones right on. Hazy golden pour with tight head. Light grainy aroma leads into tart, chalky taste, light citrus, more drying on the finish, very dry. Body about right, and very refreshing.

On tap at Bluejacket. This is probably one of my favorite beers out there. Huge, bright tropical fruity hop notes, big bold sour tones. Massively juicy. Intense. Pineapple, tangerine, mango. Absolute beast of a modern sour. Has it all.

Crisp golden coloured body with a hazy glow and a very thin off-white head, only about half a centimetre tall. Aroma of very sour grape and cherry scents along with a good deal of yeast, light malt and a bit of alcohol - nice. Medium-bodied; Strong sour flavour at first with a good balance of malt and some grape and almost a gueuze-like flavour. Aftertaste shows a great balance and a pleasant fruit and malt flavour with a touch of hops, dry grass and herbal elements and that overarching sour flavour that makes you want to get that next sip in. Overall, a great beer, and one that surprised me on being so good - definitely worth trying if you can find it here! I sampled this glass on draught at the brewpub in Washington, DC on 20-May-2015 for US$7,50 sampled after a Nationals game.
