Pours amber with a fading head.Nose shows sweet clean syrupy malt, along with some pine and grapefruit. Very sweet smelling though.Lots of sweet clean malt as a flavour at first, pretty. Sharp piny hops follow leading to an aggressive bitterness.Body seems a little too thick.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a clear gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma is nice and spicy with some earthy dankness going on followed by a snippet or two of citrus like hoppiness. The taste is bold and rich and goes from robust levels of citrus to dankness to spiciness and back to earthy dank notes. This is delicious and yummy. This is the second batch and makes me wonder if this is an improvement over the first batch.

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Pours a dark orange-amber color with a medium thin off-white head and small patches of lacing. Floral hops and citrus in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, grainy malt and pine. The finish is chewy with a lingering hops and grapefruit aftertaste. Good overall.

Tap. Pours clear light amber with a medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma is grapefruit and pine. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet with the faintest caramel note and very bitter finishing. Hides the ABV quite well throughout.

On tap at Apex, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma is super pungent and skunky, with herbal hops, very pot-like, no malt showing. Flavour is very potent, full of skunky herbal hops, again very pot-like and potent - like a marijuana plant soaked in a IIPA. Lots of depth and full flavoured, but a bit overburdening on the palate. Excellent, nonetheless.

On tap. Pours with a clear, deep orange hued body with a lasting off-white head with good lace and retention. Aromas are quite hoppy, light dry hop grassy notes, orange, tangerine, citrus, earthy, dank and resin. Mild caramel and alcohol sweetness notes (although sweetness is in check). Flavors are boozy, dank, resiny, citrus, grassy, light pine. Mild caramel. This beer is all about lupilin. Medium bubbles. A bit on the thicker side body wise, warming. Tasty.
