Thick, black colored, small tan creamy head. Aroma is of malt, some caramel, chocolate, cocoa, coconut, fudge, maple. Taste is quite sweet malt, fudge, maple syrup, bitter chocolate, coconut, medium+ roasty choco bitterness, dryish finish, some alcohol notes. Full- bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. (can, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Plenty of coconut but not much maple. Bitterness is a bit ashy & unbalanced. Ok pastry stout but nothing I’d hunt down again. --- Beer merged from original tick of Even More Coco Jesus on 24 Feb 2018 at 02:01 - Score: 7. Finom lett.

In der Nase schokoladig. Im Trunk cremig, süß, leicht röstig. Kuchenboden, Mokka. Nach hinten bitterer werdend. Hohe Drinkability für die ABV. Dennoch zu wenig ausdeffiniert für meinen Geschmack. Zu sehr Melange.

Can. A- Raw coconut, subtle maple, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coconut, chocolate, slightly bitter. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- The description was spot on. Coffee, maple, coconut, chocolate, black beer, all my favorite things. Now if it was just barrel aged. All that said, it wasn't quite perfect. A strong lingering bitterness on the finish that didn't quite sit well with me. The maple was only slightly there adding mostly a boozy sugary effect rather than flavor. Overwhelming coconut but not in a bad way. Really solid brew and maybe my favorite Jesus beer so far.

Can. Black in the glass, with a creamy tan head. Some lacing. The aroma has some alcohol, with coconut, cocoa, chocolate and coffee, and a touch of roasted malts. It's quite sweet on the palate, full-bodied and smooth, with a pleasant alcohol warmth. Coconut, cocoa and chocolate flavor with some roasted notes and dark sugar. Maple syrup chiming in, adding a nice twist. The finish is of the long kind, with all the goodness from the initial flavor still present. A delicious one indeed. 180128

Can 500ml @ gunnfryd
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, molasses, caramel and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, coconut, chocolate, roasted and vanilla finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Burk från Mikkeller-låda. Kolsvart med mörkbrunt, gräddigt skum. Doft av kokos, mandel och choklad. Samma i smaken, men här även kaffe, vanilj, lakritskola och en gnutta lönnsirap. Något större beska i avslutningen.

(473ml can from boxbeers.dk) Pours pitch black with a huge loose pale brown head that fades slowly leaving spidery lace. Aroma of sweet dark malts, dark and milk chocolate, moderate roast, sweet coconut, soft maple sugar, hints of licorice and coffee. Flavour is sweet to start with notes of dark caramel, ample maple sugar, soft chocolate, light to moderate coconut, and then big roast/hop bitterness kicks in mid palate, notes of tar, hard-roasted malt, soft smoke, spent coffee grounds, ash, booze. Aftertaste is tarry. Medium full and slick, softly carbonated. Great aroma is a bit unbalanced on the tongue, two phases rather than knit together.

Head quickly disappear. Very intensive, sweet aroma of coconut, sweet chocolate, licorice, vanilla, almonds. Taste is also sweet, full of coco, chocolate, less intensive than aroma, with sharp alcoholic finish. Little sour. Medium body, low carbonation. Good one.
