Bamberg war früher einer der größten Hopfenhandelsplätze in Deutschland und der Böhmische Hopfen galt zu Grasers Zeiten als besonders hochwertig. Beim Hellen Lagerbier sorgt Böhmischer Aromahopfen für eine ausgeprägte Hopfennote. Zum Brauen verwenden wir außerdem besonders weiches Wasser, das vor dem Brauvorgang enthärtet wird. Das Ergebnis ist ein süffiges Lagerbier mit angenehmer Bittere, rund und weich im Aroma und beinahe cremig im Mund.

BB 12/2026. yellow lightly hazy color, rather big white head. smells bready, earthy, grains, light herbs, pepper, nice smell. light to medium body, soft carbonation. tastes bread, grains, earthy, tobacco, rye, light pepper, lightly roasted malts, light leather. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of rye, pepper and bready notes. good one, good balance and good to drink.

Drucken på flaska i trappen ner till källaren i bryggeriet. Mjuk och rund, matig och brödig. Samtidigt lite humle med lätt beska och stor friskhet. Mycket gott

500ml bottle. Slightly milky, orange golden colour with average to huge, thick, dense, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly bready, minimally grainy, spicy, pale malty aroma, mildly grassy, hoppy overtones, hints of bread crust, whiffs of spelt, a touch of protein. Taste is slightly spicy, minimally bready, pale malty, slightly grassy, moderately bitter hoppy and minimally yeasty fruity, hints of bread crust, some residual sweetness, a weak touch of apricot and banana, some protein.
Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, dense, foamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Well crafted, rather hoppy, nice (hoppy and malty) spiciness - above average Helles, but still a Helles.

Draught @ Brewpub, Banberg. Pours Clear Golden Yellow with a White head. Bready and crusty cereal. A bit too fizzy. Touch of Sulphur. Probably best of the 4 - but like the others fizzy, sulphurish and quite underwhelming for Franconia.
