The Witching hour presents with malty chocolate bitterness while having hints of roasted and caramel malt flavors. This beer perfectly balances the malty profile of a black lager with noble hop flavor and bitterness.

Keg at the brewery. Clear dark brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, caramel. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, herbal hops, raisin. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Little aroma, save for cardboard and wood. Cola brown, medium tan head, good lacing. Wood flavor, but awfully bland. Light body, moderate carbonation. Schwarzbiers arenโt inherently exciting styles, but they can be. This one wasnโt.
