Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a dark honey color with a medium sized foamy beige head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was pine, lemon and a bit of cat pee. The flavor was bitter, dry and rough with pine, cat pee and cactus notes. Long finish. Medium body.

A golden ipa with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with loads of resinous piney floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and California like. Bottle at United lounge, IAD.

Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Amber in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Plenty of floral hops, tangerine fruits, and sweet, biscuity, malts, before a dry, hoppy finish. Good.

Crisp light copper and amber coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head - good looking. Aroma of dank, resinious hops with some passionfruit, pine, resin, grass and a bit of pineapple - pungent. Medium-bodied; Assertive hop kick up front with not much supporting malt, but the initial kick is pure pineapple, passionfruit, guava and resin - very strong and nice for the style. Aftertaste shows a good balance with a ton of hops (high alpha acids) and a sweet finish, but not as complex as a Southern California IPA or one from the PNW. Overall, a surprisingly refreshing and deep IPA from the East Coast that feels a bit closer to the Pacific. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 17-May-2015 for US$8,49/six pack, sampled at home in Washington on 19-July-2015.
