8.1/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 8 Flavor 9 Texture 8 Overall 7.5
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was the normal hazy bronzed burnt orange/yellow sort of color with a quickly dissipating foamy white head. Lacing seemed to sort itself out to somewhat of a sort of spider web messiness.
The aroma starts off with a nice \"witbier\" spice up front. Definitely \"peppery\" with that sweet Belgian/yeasty/bready sort of blend to subtly follow through.
The taste follows through in the flavor with that \"peppery\"/spice coming back to beat down the sweet breadiness fairly nice but with a nice Summery sort of sweet bready aftertaste. Quick sweet/peppery sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair amount of sweet/spicy sort of sessionable glossy/sticky \"feels\" on my tongue.
Overall, damn nice witbier by an American brewer. An American Brewer did this, hmmm...nice, and hells to the yeah! If witbier fans don’t like this one, hmmmm...just makes me think that witbier fans probably aren’t really into witbiers. SC did a damn nice job on this one!
