Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown color with a finger worth of foamy white head that dissipates at a nice low pace and leaves some light lingering lace.
The aroma takes some earthy notes over some nutty crisp malts. Low amount of caramel and toffee.
The flavor is malty sweet and balances with the earthiness. Light malty to earthy aftertaste. Sly finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low to medium carbonation. Earthiness comes back to give a push in the harshness department on my tongue but doesn’t distract from the flavor.
Overall, mostly good brown ale with an added acceptable earthiness to it.
