On tap at the brewery, pours a very hazy gold with some fluffy, white head. Nose is what you expect, estery with bananas, clove and white pepper, some grass and straw, a nice hop level also rounds things out. Flavor has all those weiss esters/flavors but everything is very well balanced, light banana and light clove, pepper, straw, lemon, grass, white pepper, a little grist. Finishes a touch fruity, but otherwise dry.

$1.95 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours hazy pale golden with a small white head. Skunky aroma hits me as soon as the beer starts hitting the glass. Taste is rather different than the aroma, which is obviously good. Green banana, wheat, light clove that progresses and intensifies in the finish. Actually nicely surprised after the aroma.

Sewery smell with coriander and banana notes struggling to break through. Milky yellow, thin head. Banana is more in the forefront on the palate, but fecal notes remain. Finishes with lemon and coriander. Light body, spritzy, harsh. A witbierish hefeweizen, I’ve had another beer like this recently. I hope it isn’t a trend. A bit disappointing since I thoroughly enjoyed this brewer’s weizen bock.
