I guess a couple extra months did this one well - it’s not great, but it’s much improved compared to the other reviews here. Poured a slightly murky brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was light chocolate, some nutty notes. Light bitter sour notes, not acidic. Tastes more like a mild infection than intentional.

The ice bock version. Some sourness. Some citrus. A touch of wood. Not great. Bottle.

Bottle from Village Market & Bistro in Winchester. Opaque maroon brown color, massive beige ice cream cone head with good retention. Aroma of cocoa powder and light coffee grounds on a background of candied cherries. Taste is sweet sour chocolate covered cherries. The hi carbonation definitely hurts the mouthfeel and it doesn’t have much body to it. But it’s not that bad, really, especially given what I expected from the other ratings. Could it be improving with time?

Bottle during the RBWG Lobby Share. Pours a cloudy brown with large frothy beige head that lasts. The aroma is apple core and dark fruits. Lots of carb, light cherry, oak tannin, dry finish.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear dark brown with off-white head. Aromas of dark fruit, caramel, apple, slight acetone. Tastes of caramel, toffee, light leather, subtle tartness, light Brett, dark fruit. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Strange, almost like a very lightly Bretted brown ale.

Cocoa nose, light raisins also present. Ruby brown, thick tan head. Tart oak and cranberry flavor. A bit tinny. Medium body, easy carbonation. Pleasantly tart but without a great deal of complexity.

750ml bottle pours a deep brown with some tight, white head. Nose has red wine vinegar, mild berries, dried cherries, a little dried apple. Flavor is the same, mild dried fruit sweetness, vinegar, some wood pulp. Medium bodied, tart, acetic finish.
