Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt amber color with a film of a white foamy head that escaped at a nice pace. Soft stringy lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of soft sweet to bitter grassy hops playing with a sly biscuit/bready malt. Touches of caramel/toffee gracefully blend underneath. Slight earthiness.
The flavor copied the aroma fairly nice with a nicely blended aftertaste of biscuits, bread, grassy hops and then a super light honey. Soft malty finish.
On the palate, this one sat between a light and medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and so was the ABV. Pretty smooth to my tongue.
Overall, nicely done Munich Dunkel Bock, that I wouldn’t mind coming back to especially with some brats.
