Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a ruddy amber color with a slight transparency about it. Just a cap of a little white foamy head that slid off at a good pace.
The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts up front with a little bit of nutty to earthy blend underneath.
The flavor was somewhat sweet but grabbed the expected dryness that came in to blend with some light woodiness and an even lighter herbal component. Low malty sort of aftertaste and finish.
The palate was almost medium bodied with a low carbonation about it. ABV felt fine.
Overall, seemed like an alright Irish red ale, perhaps a bit more herbal hop quality in this could assist it a bit more for the style.
