This Light Pale Ale packs major hop aromatics and fantastic body despite weighing in at a wee 2.9%. Is it refreshing? Oh it’s refreshing. How about flavourful? Expect citrus and stonefruit notes abound. Light but not lacking? You bet. Brewed with new Hydra yeast from the lovely team at Escarpment Labs to make all our light, hoppy beer dreams come to FRUITion.

Golden straw colored pour, with a small white head. A fresh, winey, acidic aroma, the sauvin hops are right up front. The flavor is very mild, slightly tart, quick dry finish. Loads of flavour, no booze, slightly tart, what an amazing patio session ale. This stuff will fly off the shelves if they brew it in the summer.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy straw with creamy, stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and needles, with touches of yeast and hints of malt. Sweetish, fruity and malty flavour with pronounced hoppy notes. Hints of yeast, especially in the rather grainy aftertaste with mild acidic notes. A brilliant Low Alc beer, definitely the best I have ever had.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes with light citrus undertones is pleasant enough. Taste is also dominated by light cereal notes with nice citrus hoppy notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Nice mix of low alcohol beer with nice hoppy punch.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice fruity caramel malt with grassy floral hops, resinous character, esters, pleasant. In mouth, a nice fruity malt with grassy floral hops, citrus pulp, very nice and smooth. On tap at brewery.

Bottle from the brewery, 4.50$ for 500ml Bellwood’s 2.8% table beer or light session ale pours a clear light gold with a foamy white head. Zesty herbal, lemon & light pine aroma - lovely. It has a fairly soft round mouthfeel on a light to thin body. The flavor is weak but not watery which for a 2.8% beer is a neat trick. Citrus, lemon, orange & zesty mild bitter pine in the taste. Good stuff a truly tasty table beer!
