Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours deep brown with a bubbly tan head. Sweet cocoa in the nose, light roast. Medium sweet flavor with leasing sugary chocolate, baking cocoa, chocolate sauce, slight earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet chocolatey finish, a little ashy. Really tasty stuff.

Bottle split at the level 42 tasting, thanks to Bropey, 09/03/16. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is light roast, charr, hint of metal, toffee, light spice. Taste comprises chocolate, vanilla essence, light lactic pang, sweet malt, faint roast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough SS.

Bottle at level 42. It pours near black with a small, bubbly beige head. The nose is rich roast, umami, bitter - sweet, cracked peppercorn, chocolate, burnt nougat and some milkiness. The taste is bitter - sweet, creamy, milk chocolate, umami, light liquorice, rocky road, chalky and just a hint of alcohol with a bitter - sweet finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Decent stuff but I would like to see a proper imperial version of this with a bit more carbonation.

Cask at the craft beer co Holburn. Opaque black coloured pour with red hues, and a nice steadfast creamy mud tan head. Aroma is nice sweet choc, milky coffee, earthy smooth roast, hints of praline. Flavour is composed of sweet milky chocolate, lactose sugars, oats, hints of caramel, smooth coffee. Maybe a little oak and peanut butter in the mix as well. Palate is medium sweet, smooth, milky and decent cask condition. Lingering choc. Nice.

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Black body with a thin tan head that quickly fades. No lacing. Aroma of Weetos, cocoa powder and hazelnut. Flavour of milk chocolate, creamy malt and a nutty finish. Thin body with a watery, flat texture. Sweet and chocolatey but itโs very thin and ugly.

500ml bottle from Bottle Baron. Pours opaque dark brown with no head. Looks flat. Merest tiny bubbles form. Taste is dark chocolate, light vanilla. Chocolate milk as promised on the taste. Light roast on the finish. Nice, but would have been better with a bit of fizz.
