Black topped with a khaki head.
Nose is dried fruit rinds, hint of liquorice, toffee.
Taste comprises brown bread, toffee, light spice, fruit loaf.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close.
Solid flavoursome mild.

Dark brown with a frothy / creamy tan head and a sweetish chocolate malt aroma. Light bodied, some berry fruit, moderately roasted chocolate malt, some coffee bitterness and a dry finish.

Cask by stillage at One Inn The Wood, Petts Wood on 21st February 2026. Intensely dark sepia brown with pale tan foam and scant lacing. Rich coffee roast malt aroma. Coffees, dark chocolates and mildly herbal notes in-mouth. A finish of bittersweet roastiness- dark chocolate and coffee - and some lasting peppery spice. Light bodied with a smooth yet engaging mouthfeel. A lot happening in this finely crafted mild.

Keg at Coach & Horses, Soho. Dark cola.brown. Foamy beige head. Aroma has light coffee. Flavourwise there is initial sour berries and coffees and that's kinda it. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. OK.
