Bottle shared at the brewery during RBWG 2015. Cheers! Pours clear, deep russet with a dense, creamy beige head. Rich, with notes of old fruits, caramel, figs. Full bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Lightly warming finish, some ripe fruits, toffee. Very good stuff.

Bottle split at the brewpub, RBWG ’15, 20/02/15. Murky chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is sweet malt, rich caramel, toasted brown sugar, subtle barrel. Taste comprises rich maltings, biscuit crumble, toffee fudge, nutty, toasted brown sugar, light fruit loaf. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for style, drinks way below the ABV but on the other hand doesn’t deliver the depth of flavour the ABV warrants.
