Blonde Ale

This bright blonde ale shines a brilliant malt character. Born of breezes, captured sunlight and whifle, this beer is a balanced yet dry siren whose first sip calls for the third. Hopped with arguable restraint with Crystal and Bravo hops, Cougar stays fierce enough to raise eyebrows yet is tame enough to be called sessionable.

Pour is kind of a cloudy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is maybe some honey malt. Flavor is a little berry sweetness and not much after that. Not much going on here. Typical boring blonde ale.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a hazy gold color with a small white head and decent retention. Almost no lacing. Aroma of bready malts. Initial pale lager flavor with a very crisp, light bread finish and a hint of citrus. Sharp carbonation. Medium body. Low bitterness.

Can shared on the booze bus during RBWG 2015. Cheers! Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. Simple, tasty. Holds light dry cereal, hay, white bread. Low bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Easy drinking stuff.

Sweet candy non artificial aroma makes my olfactories from the start. Taste is bitter but there are tones of fruit and freshly fried sausage, if you can believe that. It really makes my mouth water like maple syrup on freshly fried sausage patties, no lie. Then, that piercing bittersweets comes back. Almost like ab astringent old country pilz. Some honey in the end. In the end the smell is no indication of what is to follow, quite a mystery.

On tap at BrewDog High Street Shoreditch. Clear gold colour lasting white head. Soft golden ale. Not much hop or yeast or malt but all quite happy without any of those. Some hoppy bite on the finish. Not exciting but ok. Some lemon

Sampled on draft this beer poured a golden color with a large foamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was faint with perfume and cracker. The flavor was tangy yet dry with perfume and cracker. Medium length finish. Medium body. Not good.

Tap at Gambrinus for the Rhinegeist event. Pours a clear gold with a finger head. Light grain and grassy hops on the nose. Clean and crisp with a touch of sweet malt. Finishes dry and crisp. A solid blonde ale.
