Straight from the foeder during a tour at Brouwerij Rodenbach. Pours a deep reddish amber, loose bubbles atop. Vibrant nose bringing acute redcurrant and cherry juice, big acetic presence. Excellent wild depth to taste, big impactful tang, vibrant cherry and red berry sweetness, sharp with a lasting fruity sour linger. Easily best Rodenbach I've tried, even the tour guide was a bit taken aback by it.

2016 vintage, tap at ASF 2024, in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Pours reddish brown, with practically no foam. Aroma is moderately acetic, malty. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium sour, not as aggressive as other Rodenbach productions. Must be the ageing. Final is still sour, with a nice pepperish nose feeling.

Aged keg @ RLRL w/GoT. I feel like I was never told how old it was. Pretty stemware. Dark iced tea, still pour. Caramel, some oxidation, leather, dried dark fruit. Tart, cherry skin, lime, bruin classy, red grape skin, big oxidation. Past it's prime. Just okay.

Tap at at Antwaerps Bierhuiske. Didn't rate it properly as I thought I had already done so. Irritating. All I can remember is that it was less sour than we expected and decently fruity. Better rating next time I promise.

Drwan by handpump from cask, Café de Engelbewaarder Amsterdam. Cherry and oak in the stronmg but refined aroma. A lovely fruity vinous but sour flavor. Cherry, lemon, aok, even a bit honeyish. Caramel and cherry in the long lasting citric sour aftertaste. With a bit more body this would be 4.5+

Fantastic beer. So sour and clean and light, but with medium body to balance it all. Very very light in colour. But quite flavourful. All around well made clean beer that is well balanced and not too bitter. De englebewaarder Amsterdam
