Bottle thanks to Toby. Pours a chestnut hue with a small white head. A bourbon sour mash nose. Sweet, lots of flavor, nutty, caramel, sugary malts mix with hot bourbon. I like this.

old rating, bottle - Amber pour, small light tan head. Smells of caramel, vanilla, booze, and oak. The taste is sweet with similar notes as the aroma. Full bodied. Pretty good.

Sample at Beer Meets Wood on 09/23/2017. Cloudy reddish-mahogany color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patches of lacing. Aroma of bourbon, roasted malt and fruit. Medium to full body with flavors of bourbon, caramel malt and slight fruity hops. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

12oz bottle, big ‘ups’ to shrubber85 for shipping this to me because… he felt like it, pours with a clear mahogany ruby red amber body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up bourbon like booze, spicy oak, dusty oak and a mild molasses note. The taste delivers a pleasing malt and molasses like sweetness that slowly bleeds into bourbon booze and a growing spicy oakiness. The bourbon grows to midway as it picks up a light soft vanilla sensation amid a persistent oaky spiciness. Nice sipper where the barrel character is more forward than the beer. A bit more balance would be an improvement.

Tap. Pours quite cloudy reddish hazel, medium beige head, good lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty, bourbon, toffee, vanilla. Flavor is fully sweet, oaky, bourbon, dark sugars, some pine with associated light bitterness. Medium body, silky mouthfeel. Well crafted, perhaps a bit heavy handed in barrel use.
