Lots of wine barrel and not a lot of stout. Overpriced junk like Tiffany necklaces. Black pour without much head. Roast caramel, booze, and barrel. Tap at continental.

Thanks John for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing black center with coffee black rims. The nose shows notes of caramel and sweet malts. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated with a strong alcoholic spiciness. Flavors of moderately intense caramel and sweet malts with a strong espresso bitterness on the finish.

Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of roasted malts and dark grains with a slight booziness supporting. Flavor is a bit more boozy with the same roasted malts and dark grains throughout.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt and bourbon barrels. Flavour is medium complex, with bourbon barrels and roast in good cohesion, with a nice woody boozy finish. Not yet most complex barrel aged impie stout, but this is well-made. Really nice.

Bottle shared at the 5K/7.5K/10K tasting - who has a 7.5K tasting?, thanks to Jackl, 30/12/14. Black with moderate tan bubbles and edgeing. Nose is rich roast, vanilla, chocolate, charr effect, dark toffee fudge, light spice. Taste comprises rich roast, raisens, chocolate, spice, dark toffee, roast malt, black pepper trace. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not top draw but a solid enough Impy.

Bottle during the RBWG lobby share. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is roast and bourbon. Medium mouth light roast, chocolate, bourbon, good.
