A nod to one of our favorite draft variants from the past few years, this single barrel of Deth's Tar was aged for five years in a Jeppson's Malört barrel. Wood tannin is minimal from the third-use American oak cask, allowing the spirit's supple herbaceousness to provide balance to this inky black, super-aged stout.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has dark grains and chocolate with some roast and a Malört note coming through. Flavor has dark grains and chocolate with roast and Malört supporting.
