CrossBones is our first new year-round beer since 2003! We worked long and hard to create the perfect session IPA that would satisfy the hoppiest of hop heads, all while not putting them under the table. This session IPA is bursting with floral and citrus notes and has a strong malt backbone to support all of that hoppy goodness. Upon tasting CrossBones, with it’s big body, smooth finish and lingering citrus flavor, it’s hard to imagine that it’s only 4.5%. How do we get all of the aroma and flavor from a beer like Loose Cannon into CrossBones? Avast! You’ll never find me buried treasure!

(On Tap) Clear coppery brown with reasonable head. Subtle malty aroma. Light bodied, light carbonation. Taste starts with caramel malt that is steadily replaced with pleasant hoppy bitterness. Nice sessionable IPA.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy pine and cactus. The flavor was bitter and sour pine, lemon, cactus and an off undertone. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

12 oz. bottle purchased at 7/11, Kittery, ME. On the neck stamped best before May 24 2015. Murky orange color with lasting soapy head. The aroma is mild leafy green hops, pine and dirty herbal notes.
The body is medium with a decent lingering pine and dirty floral bitterness leading into a dry texture. The overall character of this brew has a big bready/ bread backbone. The hops remind me of a few former girlfriends I have had in the past... Dirty and a tad off balance.

Bottle at home in Salisbury - picked up at De Cicco Armonk. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. The aroma has notes of ripening citrus, hay, pale bread. The flavor is a little too bitter, perhaps slightly astringent, with grainy pale malts, hay, pine needles, citrus peel. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Rindy and grainy finish with more grass, light astringency, lemon peel, pale bread. Not bad, just a little out of balance.
