Cinnamon spice and everything nice. Nutmeg. Incredibly smooth for abv. Maradona derby in round of sixteen in the CL. Barca/Napoli.

Hope everyone is ready for Christmas. I haven’t done a damn thing yet.

Couleur noire, col fin blanc-cassé peu tenace.

12oz bottle pours a thick, leggy black, with a ring of khaki head. Nose has tons of brown sugar and cinnamon and cherry, clove and ginger, the dark malt is there but everything else shines. More horchata than Old Rasputin. Flavor leads with cinnamon toast crunch and caramel, gooey blondie, milk chocolate, raisinette. Finishes full bodied, sweet, sticky, with a little cinnamon heat.

A fitting bottle for the second Advent. Black with a thin, creamy brown head. Aroma full of gingerbread, prunes, cinnamon and miscellaneous artificial confectionery. Taste is mildly sweet up front, raw and boozy at the back with a light bitterness. Full-bodied, mild carbonation, smooth up front, but hurt at the finish with an alcohol-ladened rawness that is reminiscent of another class of beer altogether. It‘s also trying a bit too hard with the spices. Flawed.

On tap at the 2022 Payette Black Friday Thick oily black pour fine tan head. Soft sweet dark roast, a touch of holiday spice. And a thick slick feel.

The aromas are dark malt, a little roast and some spice. Flavors are like nose but sweet, with the spice more prominent. Not bad if you like this kind of thing but a little too sweet for me.
