This hop-forward beer combines the intense aromatics of an American IPA with the crisp drinkability of a German-inspired lager. Originally brewed as part of our first Beer Camp Across America pack, this beer features bold grapefruit and floral hop notes accentuated by the light body of a classic blonde lager.

Pours a nice heady golden from bottle. Clean hops kick with a bread lager tinge. Nice effort. 2015.

Bottle. Clear golden color with a large, foamy white head. Taste and aroma is like a middle of the road IPA.

Bottled. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is grapoefruits, some mild zesty tones with a bit herbs. Flavour is grapefruit, some bready and biscuity tones with a mild alcohol sweet tone.

Bottled. A golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops, citrus fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus fruits, malt, and dusty hops, leading to a bitter finish.

Keyaki. Nice, light citrus hoppiness, quite malty. Nice but a little mediocre in my opinion.

(Bottle) Hazy golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of bread, apricots, orange peel, honey and a touch of spice (coriander?). Fruity, hoppy taste with apricots, orange, honey, bread, some resin and a gentle floral bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. A bit sharp and more like a pale ale than a lager. But still, quite tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Keg at Rose and Thistle, Frimley. If I really strain me old nose I get a sweet citrus. Mesium gold. Bubbly. Initial haze settled down. Thick creamy white head. Initial sweet hit. Then the hops come through. But finish is again fruity sweet. Light bodied. Slick. Soft carb. Abrupt finish. Some hoppiness in the aftertaste. Easy drinking. And easy to miss the ABV.
