Can via the online shop. Looks well. Misted ruby copper kind of colour. Lovely thick almost fully lacing, leggy beige foam. Nose has fruity toffee and caramel. A bit plummy. Some raisin. Taste is pretty sweet in a ripe fruit way, with some esters and a soft citrus bitterness. Smooth and lightly boozy with soft carbonation. Sweet and light bitter finish. Nice one. Sank it.

Can picked up at Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy deep reddish - brown with a sturdy off - white head. The aroma is rich and intoxicating, bitter. - sweet, toffee, toasted brown sugar, raisin, sultana, plum, prune, blueberries, malt loaf, fruit cake, banana bread, brown bread and a touch of alcohol. The taste is rich and malty, bitter - sweet, toasted brown sugars, plethora of dried fruits, raisin, sultana, prune, dark, toasted nut, fruit cake, earthy, woody, malt loaf, brown bread, banana loaf, touch of warming alcohol and some spice with a drying, chewy finish. Fulsome body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Rich and malty with a good depth of flavour. Ideal to accompany a dram.

Can from Against The Grain. Hazy amber body with a thick beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, fig and caramel. Flavour of fig and brown bread. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is good but not quite good as I thought it might be.
