An Imperial Pastry Stout with Coconut, Coffee & Vanilla.

"Our 3rd Anniversary Pastry Stout was brewed with our great friends at Two Flint Brewery. We treated this one with Coconut, Coffee and Vanilla beans. The base beer came out really chocolaty and caramelly, so the selected adjuntcs make a beautiful Pastry Stout inspired by a coconut-chocolate cake with a cup of coffee on side.

440ml can. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, small to average, frothy to creamy, fading, tan head. Chocolately, minimally roasty, dark malty, slightly nutty and minimally spicy aroma, hints of vanilla, toasted coconut, chocolate sauce and coffee, some caramel, whiffs of tonka and brown sugar, overtones of wafers, cookie dough. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty, slightly nutty and spicy, doughy and minimally alcoholic, notes of cookie dough, hints of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, toasted coconut, a touch of brown sugar, caramel, tonka; slightly warming, alcoholic finish.
Viscous texture, smooth and soft, cloying palate, fine, creamy, soft to flat carbonation.
Well composed and executed Imperial Pastry Stout, nothing to complain about; but more coffee, less vanilla in the mix should have met my penchant better.

0,44l can from the brewery. Canned 22.01.2026, bbe 12/2029. Black beer with small, quickly vanishing brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coconut, roasted malts, coffee and some vanilla. Flavor is dominating coconut with chocolate, vanilla, coffee and roasted malts. Cake it is. Sweet, tasty, full body.

Opaque brown colour, tiny brownish head. Aroma of chocolate/mud cake. Medium to full-bodied. Sweetish. Lots of chocolate, cocoa, sweetish with vanilla. This is real liquid chocolate cake experience. As a beer too diabetes for me.

Sampled at the brewery, three year party.
Poured pitch black in color, not much head. Oily mouthfeel.
Strong coffee aroma and flavors, heavy, full bodied. Fortunately not very sweet. Mostly coffee, roasted malts and some ashy notes.
