Paid 4.99 for a year old bottle at Cigarette City, Seabrook. Bottle date of 10/9/2014. Clear yellow color with a high level of carbonation. Aroma has a sour wheat, lemon juice, Belgian yeast and strawberry seeds.
Flavor is sour wheat dominate with a bready malt base. Lemon juice and mild acidic hints. Mouthfeel has a mild fizzy feeling from the Co2. I had the original Strawberry Short Weiss back in Nov 2012. This base really reminds me of strawberry seeds for some strange reason. I don’t know… this is still drinkable but I really think it needs fruit to bring it together.

Bottle split at LKS thanks to the host with the most, 03/08/15. Lightly hazed pale yellow with a moderate off White spotting. Nose is citric tinged, sweet and sour vibes, pear drops, balsa wood. Taste comprises more pear drop, lactic tang, vanilla, straw, pissy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a touch of acidity. Ok but not great for style, overly sweet.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Leighton. Light haze on this very pale gold beer, big white head. Palate is very light and mildly crisp. Fair bit of floral pear - fairly sweet. Tangy light finish. Tastes like a skewed Perry! Inoffensive.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s place. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. Aroma is sweet pear drop, white peach, low lemon. Translucent yellow / straw coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Flavour is composed of crisp tangy white peach, apricot, wheat, apricot. Palate is crisp, sweet, grainy wheat, highish carbonation. Ok. Not sour enough.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in New England. Pours clear pale yellow with a creamy white head. The nose has some tangy fruits, pear, lemon. Light sweet flavor with faint lemony acidity, some pale bread, maybe cereal. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish, lightly tart, with soft lemon, some bready sugars. A little bit muted but OK on the whole.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours hazy pale gold with a thick white head. The nose is sweet, lactic, pear cheesecake, pear drops, barnyard and tang. The taste is crisp, tart, lactic, pear skin, apple skin, apple tango, light acidity, barnyard and grainy action with a short, dry finish. Lightish body and average, prickly carbonation. Pear cheesecake vibe. So - so.

Pours a slightly hazed pale yellow into a snifter. Bright white head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Sour peach aromas. Sharp with apricot and peach upfront turning to dry marshmallow before the abrupt bready finish.
