4 month old can A: Poured a short, thick tan head that held a good bit before falling to a ring. Black with dirty brown highlights. S: Milk chocolate and creamy coffee over subtle roast and caramel. T: Again, heavy on chocolate with coffee joining to bring a more pronounced roastiness. A dark fruit note goes in and out. M: Well carbonated and creamy with a deeply tart figgy finish. O: Hits all bases nicely plus restrained use of lactose. Very good.

355ml bottle. (6.0% ABV) Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Aroma of roasted malt, espresso, dark chocolate and earth. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, lactose, licorice, ash and earth in a dry, mild bitter, coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Very tasty.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Burlington, MA. Appearance is virtually opaque dark brown with light floaties, nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, thin cap of light brown head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted coffee, bordering on char, balanced with sweet milk chocolate. Taste is initial mild sour followed by strong sweet and roasty espresso. Palate is full bodied with thick, creamy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a thick, meaty, robust stout. Perhaps I had it a tad colder than I should have but it reminded me a bit of a milkshake. Good.

12 oz. bottle.

AROMA: Strong scents of coffee and milk chocolate

APPEARANCE: Pours dark, black, and opaque with a dark tan head that dissipates slowly.

TASTE: It tastes as good as it smells! Lots of dark-roast coffee flavor, followed by smooth chocolate.

MOUTHFEEL: Smooth and creamy with a medium body. Carbonation is about average.

OVERALL: The flavors blend nicely with the creamy texture. Definitely one of the better milk stouts that I've tried. Most of them tend to lean more towards the milk than the stout. This one, however, is pretty evenly balanced.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small foamy dark tan head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with notes of cola, brewed coffee and floral hops. The flavor was bitter, dryish and roasty with coffee, vanilla and floral hops; Long finish. Medium bodied and creamy. Ok.
