Hazy golden with a white head. Malty aroma with some apricot. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Nice one.

On tap at Hops, Crewe. Pours a murky apricot with minimal almost white head and good lacing. There’s continental hops, yeast and lemongrass in the aroma, along with a trace of oranges. In the mouth it starts off somewhere between sharp, bitter and sweet but the bitterness eventually comes to dominate. Flavours of apricot, orange, coriander plus hints of dried fruit. Finish is quite dry. This is quite nice. Not an outstanding Belgian beer, but with some unusual flavours.

On tap at Het Lagerhuys. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Peppery Belgian yeast and dry grass on the nose. Flavour has spicy Belgian yeast, dry grass, clean malt expression. Great yeast character.

Bottles from The Beerhive (2015), House Of Trembling Madness (2023) and Great Grog (2025). Hazy golden body speckled with a few flecks beneath a thick off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of yeast, apricot, orange sherbet and white bread. Flavour of coriander, sugar and lemon. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Dry and easy drinking. Simple.

Bottle at home. Pours opaque golden with a thick, foamy, long lasting head. Nose is hoppy and yeast-driven, I get lots of grass and phenols, herbals and peppers. Taste is similar, and it combines with a dry body, and the result is moreish and thirst quenching. The level of phenols starts to be a bit overwhelming by the end, but it’s very much my cup of tea nevertheless.

Bottle at the beer bistro.
Hazy orange pour with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt, tropical fruit, yeast, and citrus hops. Some really nice malty grans come through in the flavor and finish. The hops add just enough bitterness, and the malt is perfectly balanced. Very rrfreshing and great beer, from a great brewery.

Aroma of fruits, citrus, some yeast, grass, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a medium bitter finish. Very refreshing ale. Glad to see Belgian breweries making modern beers with more hops, while staying true to the Belgian tradition.
