Keg at the brewery. Near black with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of strong spice, pepper, dark fruit, roasted malt, leather. The taste is pepper, dark fruits, citrus, leather. Medium bodied, lingering spice. In no way resembles a saison, but still a solid beer.

Draft at the source. Poured a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma was savory with a note of pepper. Flavor had notes of dark black pepper.
