Our Apple Ginger cider is unlike any cider you’ve had before. The fresh ginger and apple flavors blend together for a sweet, yet slightly tart taste with a distinct ginger aroma. The result is a smooth, refreshing cider that goes down easy.

Bottle. Golden in color. A light bubbly head. Aroma is all apple, a tad of ginger. Taste does have some ginger but still strong tart apple.

This was poured into a pint glass and a wine glass.
The same appearance in both glasses: semi-clear glossy yellow to orange color with a bubbly carbonation to be seen rising. Bubbly head rapidly dissipates.
The smell had a nice sweet apple combination to the ginger - good, I expected it and it delivered.
The taste was pretty much the same. There was no aftertaste but it did have a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and was fairly sessionable. There was a certain crisp ginger spice over my tongue that seemed to detract from the carbonation, no worries but I did figure out that’s probably why the carbonation seemed to be a tad lower than most ciders I’ve had.
Overall, Angry Orchard did exactly what they said they would do with this one. Are ciders actually starting to grow on me? Uh oh... damn changing palate.

Purchased at Evolution Liquors in Chicago, IL; enjoyed prior to heading out to a Homebrew competition where I made Apfelwein...hoping I don’t come in last place. Appearance is pale gold with no head, looks like a normal cider. Aroma of fresh apple juice, if there’s any ginger it’s subtle. Taste is crisp and refreshing, the ginger comes out more in the flavor, goes down great. It’s also about 90 degrees right now, so this is the perfect beverage choice (well, outside of water).

Pour is clear outta the can with no head. Aroma is really missing with this one. I thought I would get a nice whiff of ginger but it was not to be. Flavor is better. Sweet apple with a decent follow up ginger. Almost drinks like a sweet fruit wine. It was ok and perfect for something after cutting the grass.

Crisp light copper coloured body with a hint of an amber glow and absolutely no head at all. Aroma of bright apples, caster sugar, a hint of ginger and pine and a bit of yeast. Medium-bodied; Strong apple flavour of course, with some pear and a very light ginger flavour. Aftertaste shows quite a bit of sweetness, with a hint of tart green apple flavours and a good prolonged apple flavour. Overall, not a bad offering and showing some good flavours along with a sweet finish. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 24-February-2013 for US$1.34 sampled at home in Washington on 04-April-2013.
