Keg at DFW Airport. Clear deep golden, mid sized head. Fruity nose with a floral touch. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Hay and citrus, strange peppery finish.

Bottle. Clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma of wet cereal. Taste is herbal and sweet. A miss for me.

Draft @ DFW. Deep amber colour with a thin head. The aroma tells me this is old school IPA, without a prominent hop signature. Moderate bitterness, some biscuity, caramelly malts, medium body, sweetish finish and no real brightness at any point. Not a bad beer, but a little dated.

Sampled at the 2014 Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours a clear golden orange with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of grass and light pine with a hint of resin and a pretty strong grain backbone. Flavor has lots of grass and grain with just a bit of pine coming through in the finish.

Location: 12 oz bottle from World Market - Houston Galleria, 10/8/13

Aroma: The nose is on the dull side with some grainy malts and some mild earthy hops
Appearance: It pours a clearish caramel-orange color with a beige head and plus lace
Flavor: The flavor is muted and a little buttery, it does not have enough bitterness for the style
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a soft carbonation, and a dryish finish
Overall Impression: This beer doesn't taste like it has German influence or IPA influence. It isn't a terrible beer or anything, but honestly, this one feels mostly like a miss to me.

On tap at Texas Beerfest. Pours a cloudy amber with medium off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is pine and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and rich malt flavor. Easy to drink, a good IPA from Rahr.

12oz bottle-pours a white head and hazy amber color. Aroma is bready-light/medium malt, some spice. Taste follows Not an American IPA but enjoyable, sessionable.

Another ericandersnavy production. Pours light copper with a fluffy white head of large bubbles. Aromas of lightly roasted malt and spicey/grassy hop. Medium body with loosely frothy carbonation. Flavor is kind of like a bready hoppy pilsner. The grassiness renders it slightly astringent. Sort of demonstrates how beer styles can move together. Finishes bitter, and really enjoyable. Not a NW hop bomb, but it’s bitterly bitter, and that is what counts.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet spicy combined with notes of elderberries. The flavor is sweet with notes of elderberries, leading to a dry bitter and fruity finish. The body is thin. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

2009 bottle. I am not sure who uploaded this, but I am not sure it deserves it’s own rating. Pours with a particle abundant yellow body with no head. Aroma of apples, German hops, and a noticeable, crisp element. Taste is a bit astringent with soggy and sour malts, a bit of German hops and associated bitterness. Tastes as though it has been lagered. No where near enough hoppiness for an IPA (I would be shocked if this was above 30IBU). Fizzy and dry mouthfeel.

Not an IPA in my opinion, just swill. Pours with a large, rocky, white head with a deep yellow body. Hay and maybe some spicey yeast in the aroma (lack of hops, especially for an IPA). Tastes like a watery pale lager with a dash of hop bitterness. Pretty crappy for an IPA. Fizzy mouthfeel.
