Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2026, Beer#24. Darker clear amber with a glow though. Sweetish red ale with a very low bitter finish. It gets sweetest in its aroma, some density to its mildly sticky-sweet texture.

Hand pulled half pint in my local Spoons on 10th March 2026. Nice red hue to the brown body, off white crown sat on top. Subtle but noticeable Rye maltiness throughout, light fruit flavours from the hops.

Chestnut / amber with a frothy off-white head and a soft fruit malt aroma. Fresh and jammy, big sweet fruity notes, a hint of fruit bitterness and a dry bittersweet finish.

Cask handpull at Penderels Oak JDW London. Clear red russet colour lasting beige head. Good Oakham hoppy flavour. Some amber and red malt. Some sherbet hop. Not much bitterness. But a fresh tasting red ale. Lighter red fruits character. I liked it.

Pint in the Cross Keys in The City. Loads going on with flavours of hops and malt. Well balanced and more like a rich bitter.

5/3/2026. Cask at wetherspoon’s beer festival. At the Bell Hotel, Norwich. This was served straight from cask. Pours well. Nice aroma. Rye bread, fruity, berries, malts. Good spiced notes. Decent body for abv. Drying rye bitter finish. Well done. My new festival favourite.
