5/3/2026. Cask at wetherspoon’s beer festival. At the Bell Hotel, Norwich. This was served straight from cask. Decent pour. Aroma is toasted, malty, toffee, biscuit, dried fruits. Malted chocolate sweetness. Some drying bitterness. Good one.

Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Dark brown cola coloured beer lasting tan head. Some malty flavour some chocolate flavour. More of a dark ale than a porter or stout. Quote malty in the mouth. East Kent Goldings bite on the finish. Its tasty enough. A dark English hopped ale. Good nettle finish. OK. Good temperature and good condition
